We are very happy here at the brewery !

First of all the Danish Beer Enthusiasts (Danske Ølensusiaster) has voted and our Caribbean Rumstout is in the finale  as the beer of the year.  Yoy don`t know how happy we are ! We are happy for the support. It has been a difficult autum after the brewery bunt down the 31. july 2008. 

And many thanks to the beerenthusiasts in Næstved . We still think, that our history started in Næstved the 1. marts 2008 to your nice little competition about "Brew your own". The Appenæs Brewers won with their Trankebar - an imp. IPA`

And we dont forget the nice people in Roskilde. We dont want to miss just one of the nice evenings together with you. we had an old dream about showing you our collection of beers. And we did l ! 

Now we soon have finished the new brewery. The fermenters are arrived from China and the filler from Meheen in USA came two weeks ago. Now our son Troels is busy about making all the electric work. The temperature controller, the coolingsystem and so on.

We have made a new cooling/heatingsystem. We use a heatpump and have digged down 600 meters pipe in our fiels to collect heat to the brewwater. When we cool down the wort, we collect the heat from thar proces and use it for the brewwater and for heating up the brewhouse and our livinghouse. We think we can save 50-60 pct energy in that way. It`s not CO2-neural but it`s at step in the right direction.

What is art ? 

According to Jørgen - the brewer - it is not art if he can make it !
